Committees

The Admission Committee for Interpreters assesses whether interpreters who wish to become members of the NGTV meet the membership requirements. This is primarily a paper-based admission process that can often be handled by the secretariat if all the required documents are submitted. If that is not the case, the admissions committee will assess the application. Experience is also evaluated and references sometimes called. NGTV members Esther Roest and Anna van de Berg-Bario form this committee, which handles approximately 10 applications per year.

The translators' admissions committee assesses whether translators who wish to become members of the NGTV meet the requirements for membership. This is a fully paper-based admission process that can often be completed by the secretariat if all the required documents can be submitted. If that is not the case, the members of the admissions committee will assess the application. NGTV members Robert Eekhof and Anne Chadwick Wendrich form this committee.
