DESCRIPTION:How can we tell whether a linguistic pattern is actually presen
 t in the texts we study? Corpus methods help us move beyond intuition\, us
 ing language data to compare usage\, identify trends and investigate trans
 lation and interpreting phenomena. We are pleased to share Course 4: Corpu
 s Studies\, part of the Research Methods in Translation and Interpreting S
 tudies (ReMeTIS) programme offered by the University of Geneva’s Faculty
  of Translation and Interpreting.  Combining methodological foundations w
 ith practical activities\, the course introduces participants to compiling
 \, analysing and interpreting corpora. It is designed for postgraduate stu
 dents\, researchers\, and translation and interpreting professionals who w
